Hello,

As the tech gets better, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to detect whether the image you’re looking at is real or generated using artificial intelligence (AI). Scroll down to find out the tools that can help you detect this.

🚀 Join the conversation against AI misuse

Deepfake Watch is an initiative by Decode, dedicated to keeping you abreast of the latest developments in AI and its potential for misuse. Our goal is to foster an informed community capable of challenging digital deceptions and advocating for a transparent digital environment. We invite you to join the conversation, share your experiences, and contribute to the collective effort to maintain the integrity of our digital landscape. Together, we can build a future where technology amplifies truth, not obscures it.

🔖 In this edition, let’s look at one of the tools that can detect if the image has been generated using AI: Hive AI detector.

How to install?

You can add it as an extension to your Google Chrome browsers by clicking here. And it’s for free!

What does it do?

It detects whether an image or text is AI-generated or not.

How does it work?

  • Once you’ve added it as an extension to your Chrome browser, click on the tool in the extension bar and deselect the ‘Show icon on page’ option.

  • Next, right click on the image that you want to verify and click on: Hive AI detector.

  • A Hive pop-up will appear which will run a scan on the image and detect whether it’s AI-generated or not.
