🔖 A lot of you may think that debunking or verifying deepfakes needs a completely different set of online tools, techniques and approach as compared to the content that is not deepfake.

Well, not always! Here’s one such recent instance.

This video shows Jordanian Queen Rania Al Abdullah where she appears to be condemning Hamas and extending support to Israel. You can watch the video here.

However, this video is a deepfake created by an Israeli Instagram user.

Tools & Techniques Used to Verify:

Google keyword search led us to a news report + Came across a CNN bulletin using keyword search on YouTube + Observed the video carefully to notice a text that led us a verified X account + finally found the user who created the deepfake

If you see, there is nothing extraordinary we did that we wouldn’t have done in the case of any content that is not a deepfake.

Write Reviews, Earn Money: How Cyberpolice Cracked The Fraud

🔖 In May of this year, Mukesh Kumar (name changed) was approached through Telegram with the promise of easy money by simply rating and reviewing hotels on a website that looked similar to AirBnb, the San Francisco-based company for homestays.

The catch: These reviews had to be glowing, five-star endorsements. Mukesh took the bait, only to find himself ensnared in a vicious web of deception.
